Industry
Consumer-goods and electronics packaging uses tamper-evident material for warranty seals, packaging closure and brand protection. Standard VOID material suits the plastic, metal, glass and coated-board surfaces these products are packed in and sealed with.
Custom graphics matter here more than in most sectors. The seal is visible to the end customer, so VOID messaging, colours and printing are specified to sit with the brand rather than against it.
Release liners also apply on the converting side, where labels, protective films and die-cut components are produced for these products.
Without a seal that shows opening, establishing whether a product was accessed before a warranty claim is difficult.
A seal that can be removed and reapplied cleanly does not protect the package. Non-reapplicable constructions close that gap.
The seal is seen by the end customer, so generic security tape undermines the packaging it is protecting.
Electronics packaging mixes coated board, plastic and metal, and the construction has to suit the surface it is applied to.
These are the properties that decide whether a material works in this sector — and the ones worth being specific about when you enquire.
A starting point, not a specification. Final suitability should be confirmed through technical discussion and application testing.
